Solar Sales/Project Manager

We are looking for a talented Solar Sales/Project Manager to assist us with our Sales team and Installation Team at Bright Future Solar Energy.

The position we are looking to fill will require the following but is not limited to:

  • Sales in any capacity for a minimum of 3-5 years (in solar industry would be preferred)

  • Excellent communication and detailed oriented skills.

  • Solid understanding of CRM and proposal creation tools.

  • Experience with managing a Sales Team and construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • This is a full-time role and it’s expected that you will be in our Moss Landing office with the exception of when visiting job sites.

  • Developing and working solar leads that come in directly to the business as well as those that you develop on your own.

  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts for the company to improve lead generation.

  • Preparing for and leading ongoing sales meetings with the team for updates to leads, opportunities and ongoing projects.

  • Continuous management of all leads and opportunities in CRM tool Insightly, including providing ongoing pipeline updates to the CEO.

  • Creation of residential and commercial solar proposals using Energy Tool Base and other associated tools such as Sketchup, including involvement on high complexity projects.

  • Securing all contractual and addendum/change order related documents.

  • Completion of accurate site surveys/audits and all required site survey documentation.

  • Responsible for communicating changes to the overall plan w/ design team.

  • Ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and planned accordingly, including specialty parts specified by the client and/or contractor.

  • Management of customer expectations and relations.

  • Main contact between the client and installation, accounting, and other teams.

  • Responsible for visiting the project site at least at the kick off, at least once in the middle and the final handoff/walkthrough with the customer. Looking for quality issues to insure plans line up with install, to confirm customer is happy, and bring installation team good tidings and/or lunch or refreshments.

  • Assist with and lead the Monday construction meeting in partnership with the lead foreman for current and new projects.

  • Understand and Lead with vision in mind of bigger picture design, system goals, and end product delivery.

  • First point of contact for all sales related questions.

  • $30 an hour or $62,400 salary

  • 4% commission on project sales 

  • Annual sales expectations: 

    • 25 residential projects (average $40,000 each project)

    • $1,000,000 of sales

Compensation

Field Solar Superintendent

$45- $60 an hour - Full-time

We are looking for a talented head solar superintendent to assist us with our projects at Bright Future Solar Energy. We are a local solar energy contracting firm located in old town Salinas that provides solar solutions for commercial, agricultural and residential clients on the Central Coast.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing and scheduling a team of electricians and installers, including coordinating project installation schedules and times w/ clients and the installation teams.

  • Present at all applicable company meetings. Hold daily and weekly meetings with the installation teams to ensure any issues get squashed, the team is aligned and follow up items are completed.

  • Maintaining team unity and positive work moral & environment and being the first point of contact for installation teams.

  • Ensure installation teams have equipment needed for vehicles, warehouse and projects. Responsible for procurement of special order parts for jobs and coordinating material delivery. 

  • Onsite project management, team management and team supervision within installation teams and shop material preparations to complete projects according to industry standards and timing while meeting goals and time-lines of each individual project.

  • Support sales and installation teams on the Central Coast of CA, between Santa Barabara and San Francisco.

  • Interact with municipalities and utility providers for inspections and correct job close out.

  • Oversee (and assist installation team when needed) all electrical tasks on solar and battery jobs sites across the entire company for all project types (Residential, Commercial and Agricultural).

  • Will report to Principals Heath Braddock and Chris Lewis.

  • To work in a professional, organized and clean environment, treating each project as if it were for a family member or their own project for their home or property.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in electrical, preferably in the solar industry.

  • Previous experience with ground mounted systems is preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical codes and OSHA requirements.

  • Proven experience managing solar teams that deliver quality and on time results.

  • Proven experience completing complex solar projects.

  • Previous electrical trades experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, isolation meters and multimeters.

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician card within the state employee is assigned.
