Field Solar Superintendent

$45- $60 an hour - Full-time

We are looking for a talented head solar foreman to assist us with our projects at Bright Future Solar Energy. We are a local solar energy contracting firm located in old town Salinas that provides solar solutions for commercial, agricultural and residential clients on the Central Coast.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing and scheduling a team of electricians and installers, including coordinating project installation schedules and times w/ clients and the installation teams.

  • Present at all applicable company meetings. Hold daily and weekly meetings with the installation teams to ensure any issues get squashed, the team is aligned and follow up items are completed.

  • Maintaining team unity and positive work moral & environment and being the first point of contact for installation teams.

  • Ensure installation teams have equipment needed for vehicles, warehouse and projects. Responsible for procurement of special order parts for jobs and coordinating material delivery. 

  • Onsite project management, team management and team supervision within installation teams and shop material preparations to complete projects according to industry standards and timing while meeting goals and time-lines of each individual project.

  • Support sales and installation teams on the Central Coast of CA, between Santa Barabara and San Francisco.

  • Interact with municipalities and utility providers for inspections and correct job close out.

  • Oversee (and assist installation team when needed) all electrical tasks on solar and battery jobs sites across the entire company for all project types (Residential, Commercial and Agricultural).

  • Will report to Principals Heath Braddock and Chris Lewis.

  • To work in a professional, organized and clean environment, treating each project as if it were for a family member or their own project for their home or property.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in electrical, preferably in the solar industry.

  • Previous experience with ground mounted systems is preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical codes and OSHA requirements.

  • Proven experience managing solar teams that deliver quality and on time results.

  • Proven experience completing complex solar projects.

  • Previous electrical trades experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, isolation meters and multimeters.

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician card within the state employee is assigned.
